Ben Ayade Rights activist accuses Governor of lying about Seaport project

Rights activist, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla has accused Governor Ben Ayade of mis-informing indigenes of Cross Rivers state, about the Seaport project.
Obono-Obla  said the Governor gave them the impression that the company, Broad Spectrum Industrial Services Limited, is a European firm.
He asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the proposed partnership.
Obono-Obla said “The impression created by the government of Cross River State of Nigeria is that Mr. Havre and Broad Spectrum Industrial Services Limited are foreign investors based in Europe.
“But an investigation carried out by me in the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, revealed that Broad Spectrum Industrial Services Limited is a Nigerian company based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.”
He also said the Governor entered into a Public Private Partnership arrangement with a company that does not have the capacity to handle such projects.
President Muhammadu Buhari flagged off the construction of the new deep seaport at a ceremony in Obun village, in Akamkpa LGA, on October 20th, 2015.
